So when they entered upon him they said, "O Aziz! Has touched us and our family the adversity, and we have come with goods (of) little value, but pay (in) full to us the measure and be charitable to us. Indeed, Allah rewards the charitable."
[AND THE SONS of Jacob went back to Egypt and to Joseph;] and when they presented themselves before him, they said: "O thou great one! Hardship has visited us and our folk, and so we have brought but scanty merchandise; but give us a full measure [of grain], and be charitable to us: behold, God rewards those who give in charity!"
And when they came (again) before him (Joseph) they said: O ruler! Misfortune hath touched us and our folk, and we bring but poor merchandise, so fill for us the measure and be charitable unto us. Lo! Allah will requite the charitable
Then, when they came (back) into (Joseph's) presence they said: "O exalted one! distress has seized us and our family: we have (now) brought but scanty capital: so pay us full measure, (we pray thee), and treat it as charity to us: for Allah doth reward the charitable."
When they entered Joseph’s presence, they pleaded, “O Chief Minister! We and our family have been touched with hardship, and we have brought only a few worthless coins, but ˹please˺ give us our supplies in full and be charitable to us. Indeed, Allah rewards the charitable.”
When they presented themselves before him, they said, “Honorable governor, our family and we have been afflicted with hardship, and we have brought only a little merchandise, but give us full measure [of grain] and be charitable to us. God rewards the charitable.”
When his brothers presented themselves before Joseph, they pleaded, Exalted one, distress has afflicted us and our family and we have brought only a paltry sum; but give us full measure. Be charitable to us. Truly, God rewards the charitable
So when they came in to him, they said: O chief! distress has afflicted us and our family and we have brought scanty money, so give us full measure and be charitable to us; surely Allah rewards the charitable
Then, when they entered to him, they said: O the great one! Harm afflicted us and our household. We drew near merchandise of scant worth so live up to the full measure and be charitable to us. Truly, God gives recompense to the ones who give in charity.
When they entered his office, they said: "Sir, trouble has afflicted us and our family, and we have come with meager merchandise. Fill up the load for us and act charitably towards us. God rewards the charitable."
When they entered unto him (Joseph), they said: “O ruler of the land! A hard time has hit us and our family, and we have brought little money, so pay us full measure and be charitable to us. Truly, Allah rewards the charitable.”
So when they entered upon him they said, “O viceroy! Affliction has befallen us and our people. We bring but meager merchandise; yet grant us full measure and be charitable unto us. Truly God shall recompense the charitable.
Upon entering his presence, they pleaded, “Your Excellency, adversity has touched us and our family, and we brought only a paltry sum. Please, give us full measure and be charitable to us. Truly, God rewards the charitable.”
Then, when they entered into his presence, they said, 'Mighty governor, adversity has befallen us, and our family. We have brought scant merchandise. But give us full measure, and be charitable towards us—God rewards the charitable.'
So when they entered unto him (i.e., unto Yusuf), they said: “O you Al-Aziz! A hard time has hit us and our family, and we have come with merchandise, meagre in value/made available with difficulty. Then complete for us the measure and apply charitable charges to us. Verily, Allah does reward the charitable.”
When they went back to Egypt and entered Joseph’s office, they said: "Noble prince! We and our family are in great distress, we have hardly any money, please give us full quota and also some charity. Surely Allah rewards the charitable."
Then, as soon as they entered to him, (i.e., Yusuf) they said, "O you mighty (Governor), (Literally: the ever-mighty Al-Aziz) adversity has touched us and our family and we have come with scant merchandise. So, fill up to us the measure and donate to us; surely ? Allah recompenses the constant donators."
When they entered Joseph's court, they said, "Noble Prince, hardship has struck us and our people. We have come with a little money, so give us a measure of grain and be charitable to us. God will give the reward to those who give charity"
So, when they came to him (Yusuf), they said, .‘Aziz, we and our family are struck by distress, and we have brought some goods of very little worth. So, give us the full measure (of grain) and be charitable to us. Surely, Allah rewards the charitable
When they came before Joseph, they said, "O Noble one! We have suffered a lot of hardship along with our family. We bring only inferior barter to pay. So give us the full measure, and be charitable to us. Allah rewards the charitable."
When they visited Yusuf again, they said, "Oh Chief, we and our families have come upon some hard times. We have brought our humble assets. Please be charitable and let us have the full measure of grain. Allah, surely, rewards those who are charitable!"
Then when they came into (Yusuf's) presence, they said: "O mighty one! (Extreme) suffering has come upon us and our family: And we have (now) brought only little capital: So do give us full measure (of grain, we request you) and treat it as charity to us: Truly, Allah does reward the charitable."
So when they entered upon Joseph, they said, "O 'Azeez, adversity has touched us and our family, and we have come with goods poor in quality, but give us full measure and be charitable to us. Indeed, Allah rewards the charitable."
So when they entered upon him, they said: "O Governor, we have been afflicted with harm, us and our family, and we have come with poor goods to trade, so give us a measure of grain, and be charitable towards us, for God does reward the charitable."
Then, when they presented themselves before Joseph, they said, ‘Mighty governor, misfortune has afflicted us and our family. We have brought only a little merchandise, but give us full measure. Be charitable to us: God rewards the charitable.’
And when they entered unto him, they said: O Aziz! distress hath touched us and our household, and we have brought poor goods, wherefore give us full measure, and be charitable unto us; verily Allah recompenseth the charitable
When they returned to him, they said (to Joseph): "O Minister, calamity has befallen us and our people. We have brought but a meagre sum, but give us full measure as alms bestowed. God surely rewards those who give alms."
So when they came into his presence, they said, ´Your Eminence! Hardship has hit us and our families. We bring scant merchandise, but fill the measure for us generously. Allah always rewards a generous giver.´
They (went back to Egypt and once more) presented themselves before Joseph, saying: "O minister! Hardship has visited us and our family, and we have brought only merchandise of scant worth; but fill up for us the measure and be charitable to us. Surely God rewards the charitable."
Then, when they entered into his presence, they said, ‘O emir! Distress has befallen our family, and us, and we have brought [just] a meager sum. Yet grant us the full measure, and be charitable to us! Indeed Allah rewards the charitable.’
And when they returned into his (Joseph´s) presence they said, "O exalted one! Misfortune has touched both us, and our families, and we have brought scanty capital. So give us full measure and treat it as charity; verily, Allah rewards the cha
So, when they entered upon him (Joseph), they said: “Powerful one, hardship has touched us and our family, and we brought little merchandise, but give us the full measure and be charitable to us, as God indeed rewards the charitable ones.”
Then when they came back into Joseph’s presence they said, “O exalted one, distress has seized us and our family. We have come with goods of little value. So pay us full measure. Consider it as charity to us, for God rewards the charitable.
When they entered again into Yusuf ’s office, they said, “Your Lordship, severe hardship has struck us and our family. We have brought but a few goods, so give in full measure and be charitable to us; the reward of the charitable rests with Allah.”
On going to Egypt they presented themselves to Joseph and said to him: "O chief! We and our family are struck with distress and have brought only a paltry sum. So give us corn in full measure, and give it to us in charity. Allah rewards those who are charitable."
So when they entered upon him, they said: "O governor, we have been afflicted with harm, us and our family, and we have come with poor goods to trade, so give us a measure of grain, and be charitable towards us, for God rewards the charitable."
So when the brothers came back to Joseph, they said, "Sir! Distress has afflicted us and our family and we have brought but little capital to pay for the rations. Give us the full ration and be charitable to us. Allah does indeed reward those that are charitable."
Then when they reached Yusuf, they said, 'O Aziz, distress has reached us and our family, and we have come with worthless capital, then you give us full measure and be charitable to us. No doubt, Allah rewards the charitable.
When they entered (Joseph's) quarters, they said, "O you noble one, we have suffered a lot of hardship, along with our family, and we have brought inferior goods. But we hope that you will give us full measure and be charitable to us. GOD rewards the charitable."
And when they presented themselves before him they said: 'O mighty prince, we and our people are afflicted with distress. We have brought but little merchandise. Fill up the measure, and be charitable to us; Allah rewards the charitable.
So when they came to him, they said: O chief, distress has afflicted us and our family, and we have brought scanty money, so give us full measure and be charitable to us. Surely Allah rewards the charitable
So when they entered on (to) him, they said: "You, you Elaziz/Egyptian ruler, the harm touched us and our family and we came with little/poor or bad goods/merchandise, so fulfill/complete for us the measuring/weighing device and give charity on us, that God rewards the charity givers."
When they returned back to the presence of Joseph’s, they said: “Your highness, we and our family are going through a lot of hardship now. We have brought some merchandise of less value to barter for food. Please be charitable and give us enough food for our survival in return. You know well that God highly rewards the charitable people.”
Then when they reached in the company of Yusuf they said, "O governor! Calamity has struck us and our household, and we have brought goods of little value, so give us the full measure and be generous to us; undoubtedly Allah rewards the generous."
And when they came before Joseph again, they said, `O noble chief, poverty has smitten us and our family, and we have brought a paltry sum of money, but nonetheless give us full measure, and be charitable to us. Surely, ALLAH does reward the charitable.
So when they came back to Yusuf ([Joseph] again), they submitted: ‘O ‘Aziz (of Egypt), a distress has fallen upon us and our family (and we are suffering from a dreadful famine). And we have brought only (this) meager amount. So give us full measure (of grain against it) and (in addition) extend to us (some) charity (as well). Indeed, Allah plenteously rewards those who give away charity.
And when they (- Joseph's brothers) came again before him (- Joseph) they said, `O noble chief! distress and poverty (due to famine) has befallen us and our family. We have brought only a scanty amount of money. Give us (nonetheless) full measure (of corn) and show us charity. Surely, Allah rewards the charitable.
Then, when they entered unto him (Yoosuf (Joseph)), they said: "O ruler of the land! A hard time has hit us and our family, and we have brought but poor capital, so pay us full measure and be charitable to us. Truly, Allah does reward the charitable."
So, when they entered unto him, they said, 'O mighty prince, affliction has visited us and our people. We come with merchandise of scant worth. Fill up to us the measure, and be charitable to us; surely God recompenses the charitable.
Wherefore Joseph's brethren returned into Egypt: And when they came into his presence they said, noble lord, the famine is felt by us and our family, and we are come with a small sum of money: Yet give unto us full measure, and bestow corn upon us as alms; for God rewardeth the alms-givers
And when they entered in unto him they said, 'O prince! distress has touched both us and our families, and we have brought trifling chattels. So give us full measure and bestow upon us in charity; verily, God rewards the charitable.
And when they came in to Joseph, they said, "O Prince, distress hath reached us and our family, and little is the money that we have brought. But give us full measure, and bestow it as alms, for God will recompense the almsgivers."
And when they went in to him, they said: ‘Noble Prince, we and our people are scourged with famine. We have brought but little money. Give us our full measure, and be charitable to us: God surely rewards the charitable.‘
So when they came in on him they said, “O you the mighty one, hardship has touched us and our families and we have come with meagre money so therefore give us full measure and be charitable to us for Allah does requite those who are charitable.”
So when they entered upon Joseph, they said: ‘O’ mighty prince, misfortune has touched us and our family. We come with merchandise of scant worth. But we (hope you can) give us full measure and you will be charitable to us. Indeed, Allâh remunerates those who give alms’.
And when they entered upon him they said: oh governor, hardship has afflicted us and our family and we have come with meagre merchandise, but give us full measure and give us charity, for Allah rewards those who give charity.
When they came before (Joseph), they said to him, “O mighty ruler, hardship has come upon our family, and we now have little to offer in trade. We ask that you give us a full measure [of grain] and consider it charity. Allah rewards the charitable.”
Then when they presented themselves before him, they said, “O mighty governor, harm has touched us and our family and we have brought scant merchandise, but give us full measure and be charitable towards us; indeed, Allah rewards the charitable ones.”
When they entered his office, they said: "Sir, trouble has afflicted us and our family, and we have come with meager merchandise. Fill up the load for us and act charitably towards us. Allah (God) rewards the charitable."
So, when they entered upon him, they said, “O The Cherished Man, the harm has touched us, and our family. And we have brought scant merchandise. So, fulfill for us the measure, and give alms upon us, surely Allah recompense the charitable ones.”
When they presented themselves before [Joseph] again, they said: 'Exalted one! Hardship has befallen us and our people, and so we have brought but little merchandise. Give us our full measure [of grains], and be charitable to us. Indeed God rewards those who are charitable.'
So when they (the brothers who went back to Egypt for more supplies) entered the presence of Joseph, they said, “O Azeez... Our family has fallen into a great shortness and adversity... and we have come with capital of scant worth... Give us full measure and be charitable to us from your bounty... Indeed, Allah recompenses those who are charitable.”
Then, when they entered unto him(Yusuf), they said: 'O' 'Aziz! Affliction has visited us and our family, and we have brought scanty merchandise. So pay us full measure and bestow you charity on us; verily Allah will reward the charitable ones'.
When the brothers went back and joined the eldest brother and were granted audience of the vizier –Yusuf-, they said to him, appealing to his charity: "O noble one we and our family have had a severe touch of misfortunes and the famine has levied distress upon us, and we have brought the little we could afford in exchange for the corn we need. We seek your kindness and your benevolence for the alleviation of our mental and physical distress. We should be grateful indeed if you would give us the full measure of corn and consider the extra you add as charitable alms comforting the poor; blessed indeed is he that considers the poor, for Allah rewards the benevolent."
So when they entered in his (Yusuf’s) presence, they said, “O you who are mighty ! harm has afflicted us and our people and we have brought poor merchandise, so give us full measure (of provision) and be charitable to us, Allah certainly rewards the charitable.”
And when they entered upon him they said, 'O Aziz! Distress has touched us and our families, and we have brought trifling chattel. So give us full measure and bestow upon us in charity; indeed, God rewards the charitable.'
Then, when they came (back) into (Joseph's) presence they said: "O exalted one! distress has seized us and our family: we have (now) brought but scanty capital: so pay us full measure, (we pray thee), and treat it as charity to us: for God doth reward the charitable."
So when they entered upon him they said, "O Aziz! Has touched us and our family the adversity, and we have with goods (of) little value, but pay (in) full to us the measure and be charitable to us. Indeed, Allah rewards the charitable.
